Messengers of the Sun / by Antonio Jose Guzman

As the year reaches its final days, we pause with gratitude. Amid wars, fractures, and uncertainty, 2025 asked for presence, care, and persistence. Fourteen exhibitions. Ten performances and lectures. From São Paulo to New York, Panama to Liverpool, London to Amsterdam, Gujarat to Tilburg, Electric Dub Station moved as a living practice, becoming more global, more interwoven, and more firmly rooted in decolonial futures. Deep thanks to everyone who walked with us, listened closely, danced freely, and labored collectively.

Honoring our colleagues and friends in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America, we admire your clarity and strength. Across the diaspora, we feel shared ground. Pan-African and trans-Asian connections remain vital currents in our ongoing work. Looking ahead, we carry this energy toward the Panamanian Pavilion, where we will humbly represent Panama at the Venice Biennale. With deep gratitude to Sufiyan Khatri and the Ajrakhpur community for years of collective collaboration, trust, learning and shared process.

Wishing you a new year held in warmth, and indigo blessings for 2026.
