Electric Dub Station Series
The multidisciplinary visual artist duo Antonio José Guzmán and Iva Jankovic, also known as Messengers of the Sun, have been engaged in an ongoing collaboration for over a decade. Their practice intricately weaves together indigo textiles, installations, performances, and immersive soundscapes.
From their Atelier GF Workstation in Amsterdam to their Electric Dub Station series developed at the Ajrakhpur atelier of Sufiyan Khatri in Gujarat, India, their collective work offers a profound exploration of the entangled legacies of colonialism and migration in today’s global landscape.
Their work was presented last year at the 60th Venice Biennale and this year at the Liverpool Biennial, as part of the evolving and captivating Electric Dub Station series.
